Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Harry Potter and the Philosopher''s Stone is number one in the series of the boy wizard. The story begins with the
magical world celebrating the fall of Lord Voldemort - a powerful and evil wizard who killed many witches and wizards and killed the parents of Harry Potter -Lily and James - and tried to kill him when he was only a year old. The magical curse which was used on Harry, back-fired and was unsuccessful and instead of killing Harry, destroyed the Dark Lord - which left a lightening bolt scar on Harry''s forehead. Hogwarts - a magical school - professors Dumbledore and McGonagall, along with Hagrid - the amkeeper, decide to shield Harry from the magical community until he''s older, leave him on the doorstep of Harry''s uncle and aunt - who are non-magic humans - the Dursleys, who don''t reveal anything about Harry''s magic to him or how his parents really died and don''t treat him as part of their family.
Near Harry''s eleventh birthday, he then recieves letters addressed to him from the magic school, Hogwarts but his uncle keep on detroying the letters, thinking they will stop. When he takes them to an remote island, thinking they can escape from the letters - but the gamekeeper turns up and tells Harry of his powers and of his heritage and how his parents died. Soon after, he along with Hagrid, enter the magical community for the very first time at Diagon Alley. Later he takes the train from platform nine and three quaters at King''s cross station and sets off for Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry where he meets Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
When arriving, Harry, Ron and Hermione have to be sorted and the Sorting Hat places the three into Gryffindor House, one of four houses at the school. Soon after, the three learn that a magical bank was robbed and that they had visited the place only a few days before they attended school. Harry learns that he''s tallented on a broomstick and after he proves he can fly, he is drafted into the Gryffindor Quidditch team as a seeker.
When they rome the halls one night, Harry, Ron and Hermione accidently come across a trap door which is guarded by a three-headed dog. Soon after, a troll is let inside the castle and Harry, Ron and Hermione is left to deal with the creature.
During Harry''s first Quidditch match, Harry''s broomstick becomes jinxed, almiost knocking him off and when Hermione sees Professor Snape, the potion master, mouthing words, she believes he jinxed Harry''s broom, she accidently knocks Professor Quill, the defence against the dark arts down and both professors are knocked over and a firs is started as everyone''s distracted by the fire - Harry is allowed to get back on the broom.
On Christmas day, Harry get an invisibility cloack which belonged to his father - which puts the wearer invisible. He waers it to look in the library at night and finds a mirror which allows him to see what he most desires - his parents. Harry later then learns that the maker of the Philosopher''s Stone, Nickolas Flamel - which can produce the Elixir of life. After Harry learns that Snape is trying to get information out of Quirrell about the trap door, Harry and the others are convinced that Snape is going to try to stell the Philosopher''s Stone.
When Harry and Hermione are caught late at night around the castle, their punishment is to spend the night with Hagrid out in the forbidden forest - with Draco - a student who dislikes Harry. Once there, they split up and Harry see''s a hood-figure drinking the book of a unicorn and as Harry''s scar starts hurting - they find out that it''s Voldemort.
When Harry, Ron and Hermione learn that someone knows how to get past the three-headed dog at the trap door, they try to go to the headmaster but he isn''t there and they have to thwart the plan of the theft, who they think is Snape before it''s too late. They face magical trials to get to the stone. When Harry enter the chamber which holds the stone, alone, he finds the mirror of Erised which let him see what they desire most. The Philosopher''s Stone falls into the his packet and is confronted by Professor Quirrel who is possessed by Lord Voldemort. After Voldemort tells him how his parents died protecting him, Quirrell feels pain when he touches Harry.
After the events are over, Dumbledore confirms that what Voldemort told him are true and that the Philosopher''s Stone will be destroyed.
