The third
book of the fantastic
series by Eoin Colfer starts off with a sad tone as Artemis' butler, Domovoi, is shot.Artemis arranges for a meeting with a man with mob connections, Jon Spiro. Artemis offers him an ICube, a verbally controlled computer which could piggyback any satellite or scan and download any software, organic or inorganic. Spiro steals the ICube and
butler (Domovoi) is
shot by Spiro's bodyguard. Artemis stops Domovoi's death using cryogenics and calls the
fairy police to save his life.
Holly Short saves him and along with her, a
witty dwarf and Juliet Butler, Artemis sets out to get back his ICube.
After a complicated mission, Artemis retrieves his ICube and also takes away a
billion dollars from Spiro's bank account.
Artemis finally has to go through a fairy mindwipe as he was becoming a problem to the fairy nation. It is a fantastic book with amazingly witty and sarcastic comments. It entertains the reader to no end. Eoin Colfer is a superb writer and surely deserves the prizes he has recieved for this series.
The next book which has already released, is sure to be an amazing sequel as Artemis has to gain back his memory when a dangerous pixie escapes and wants world domination.
