This Series is based on ancient Greek mythology. If you like that kind of stuff, read it! If you don’t like Greek mythology …still read it because the book rocks!!
Greek gods have a bad habit a going around and having children with any human they like. Due to this a lot of Demigods are produced Percy is one of them; he is the son of the Sea God Poseidon. Cool right……well you would think that but they wouldn’t. All demigods are sent to camp half-
blood, where they are trained to fight evil. The big three; Zeus, God of the Sky; Hades, the God of Underworld and Poseidon, God of the Sea. The big three are brothers and they swore not to have anymore children because they were too powerful. Zeus broke this promise and turned her daughter into a tree. That’s one mean daddy. Poseidon after claiming his son at camp half- blood Zeus and Hades became furious. Hades made a plan to get Percy killed. Ares, God of war, stole Zeus’
master bolt and the blame was put on Percy!! His own uncle wanted him dead. Zeus’ opinion was not objected (because he’s the king of Gods). Now Percy has to go with two of his friends from them safety of camp half-blood, to the underworld to get the master bolt from his other Uncle Hades.
