There are hundreds of
evil people in the world and over 18
million websites on the internet relating to their acts.Evil
acts are shocking,yet common.Laughing them off is sometimes the only way to cope with them.These
men had a choice between good and evil.The chose evil without hesitation,doubt or remorse.
In ancient evil there was Alexander the Great,Herod the Great,Tiberius,Caligula,Attila the Hun and Genghis Khan.Alexander slaughtered more than 30,000 people,sending more than 60,000 to slavery.Caliguala was
wild,with a penchant for
sexual adventures.Genghis Khan herded crowds of prisoners in front of his army.
During the Renaissance,Suleiman,King Henry 8th and Ivan The Terrible were atrocious.Suleiman organized a massacre of 200,000 Hungarians,many for pleasure.Ivan burnt buildings and
killed with relish.More than 60,000 were killed.King Henry the 8th married
six times,beheaded two of his wives,broke off with the Catholic Church and destroyed many monastries.
The Nazis stand out among evil people with names like Adolf Hitler and Joseph Mengele.Hitler sent thousands who didn't join his army to camps where they never returned.
2 million jews were killed.Joseph Mengele was a doctor.Instead of saving,he killed.When he found 600 sick women in hospital,he ordered all of them off to gas chambers.
In numerous reigns of terror we have Osama Bin Laden,Cardinal Richelieu and Jean Paul Marat.Osama Bin Laden is wanted for murder,conspiracy and attacks on federal facilities.A reward of
25 million was offered for information leading directly to his capture.Jean Paul Marat was ready to send countless number of people to prison and death.He was responsible for the downfall of the Girondons in 1793.Perhaps the most infamous mass murderer was Jack the Ripper.He was never caught and the Ripper murders made a huge impact on Victorian England.
Another man known for his acts was Marquis da Sade.Unlike other evil men,De Sade was dangerous sexually.He had experimented in every possible sexual activity,mostly using pain and cruelty.He had an extremely distorted life and his books were full of sexual perversion,told with positive approval and relish.The very word
'sadism' is derived from Marquis Da Sade.
There are countless evil men and women who i haven't mentioned here.Mary Tudor of England was so evil in her acts that she known as 'Bloody Mary'.
There are people who have commited evil acts for the fun of it.Others commited evil by doing nothing at all such as Captain Stanley Lord who could have saved the Titanic but ignored it.
There is a point of view that there are no evil people,only misguided acts.After reading this book,I cannot agree with that.We must realise that there is no foreseeable end to evil.It is therefore important that we face upto it,recognize it and do what we can to limit its impact on our lives.
Get your hands on this book and you will realise the kind of world we live in.i will never call this a
fantastic book but it's an extremely valuable source of history.Read it if you cam.
