This book mentions a touching lesson of life. Jeannette Walls is today a beautiful lady, well succeeded in life as a journalist. But it has been two decades that she hides a secret: your roots. Jeannette is daughter of Rex and Rose Mary which had four more children. Rex and Rose were two idealists that formed, together with their children, an excentric family, dysfunctional and that also lived always, on the parents will, on the poorness threshold. They opted to live as nomads, moving constantly from city to city. Without a house, they lived in abandoned warehouses or they camped on the mountains. The children had to survive on their owns. They had to look for food, cleaned the place where they were living and they also had to convince their parents to work. Throughout the years they supported each other, in an endless struggle to survive.
