Book Review   by:chocochips     Original Author: Haruki Murakami
ª

The story starts with the author dreaming. he was dreaming of a hotel he stayed at with a girl (Kiki) in Sapporo. The dream sort of pulls him back to the place and he gets a reservation. He is a free lance writer for ads or whatever the need is. "shoveling cultural snow" was how he calls it. he finds the hotel a lot different from the one he knew and here he meets a thirteen year old psychic, an uptight receptionist- who he immediately likes and re encounters the "sheepman" the sheepman tells him he must try to find his lost connection to the world. from there he starts meeting up with an old friend who was an actor. He has seen that friend's movie and saw that, in the movie was the girl he was with in Sapporo. He tries to ask gotunda (the actor friend) if he knows anything about Kiki and they both somehow searches for her. The author also becomes friends with yuki, the thirteen year ols psychic and eventually, he finds out what happened to Kiki. The author goes back to Sapporo and tries to understand the Sheepman's words.
