An elderly lady sees two young women with small children - separate, struggling and lonely - and decides to ask them in and see what happens.
This begins a group of six very different women who become a circle of friends. They vary from 22 year
old Jules who wants to be a DJ to Eleanor, a retired professional.
All goes well until one of them meets an enigmatic man and the dynamic of the group changes. Very much a book for women, but not typical 'chick lit'.
Written with warmth and humour, it fits neatly into the 'few pages before bed' category. Enjoyable and easy reading.
