Potter, Granger, Weasley, Dumbledore, Snape, Riddle; Eragon, Brom, Murtagh, Arya, Saphira.
These characters almost became real after reading the books! It's crazy how a pen can affect you to such an extent, driving you to other worlds and screwing your upto-then plain mind.
Harry Potter 4 - Definately one of the best in the series. The idea of the Triwizard tournament was a superb move. Tasks, curses, ideas, flukes, trust and finally murder makes this book a fast-paced ferrari, or more of a pizza, you just keep wanting more.
Rowling plans amazingly well. Just think of it. Even when writing her first book, ideas were streaming like hot cakes, planning and writing.
Come to the movie. The movie missed out parts like the blasted ended skrewt, the spider and the dementor in the last task. But the movie was still magnificent, living up to the book.
Eragon - Another amazing book. I almost thought it was better than Potter. Ideas were extremely innovative and shocks were on and flowing.
Wars were described in a magnificent manner and you could almost hear the clattering of Zar'roc. Look at me. After reading the book, imagination was up and about.
Paoloni and Rowling are some of the authors of the year, besides Eoin Colfer, Anthony Horowitz and Jeffery Archer. Archer's Maximum ride series is really good.
Come now to the movie, come to the moment, come to the disappointment. The movie was good ya, but it wasn't at the level of the book. Come to think of it, it was no way near the book. Hopefully, Eldest will be a better movie.
It's really up to you to decide. What do you prefer? The world of wands, unicorns, phoenixes, werewolves, potions and Quidditch(hey, i'm not sure of the spelling) or do you like swords, arrows, elven warriors, grumpy dwarfs and dragons?
As i said before it's up to you to decide. Hope the review has made you think about it.
