FanLib is a wbsite devoted to the creation of Fan
Fiction: stories and poems based on books or TV shows. FanLib has successfully extended the bounds of FanFics slightly to include images and video. This has added richness to the site rather than, as it could have, meaning that no "real" fics are ever published.
FanLib is a
user-created website, so it naturally has its low points. Some users submit content that is barely readable, but other FanFics are of a similar calibre to published fiction. Submissions are divided into 3 categories: ALL, 13+ and 17+. As a reader you make the choice as to which FanFics you want to view.
FanLib has an easy to use interface for both reading and writing that can be understood within a few minutes. It is, nonetheless, rich enough that one can spend months discovering all its intricacies. The Help Forum is available and useful - more than can be said for many websites.
My Verdict: Try it! FanLib may not be for you - if you want perfect grammar and presentation it's not for you, but if you'll accept a few imperfections there's a wealth of treasures to be discovered.
