Stefan Zweig, "Decisive Moments in History"

Book Review by: Anguila

Original Author: Anguila
This book consists of an historical investigation of the author, one of the best historians than it has existed. It emphasizes
twelve moments in the history that considers like pearls of the humanity. I personally agree with some moments, and others do not seem to me as excellent as others. But , that is a personal matter. The moments that the author describes are:. The conquest of the Byzantium. " The Mesías" of Handel. The history of " The Marselleise. That one minute in Waterloo. " The chose of Marienbad" of Goethe. Discovery of Eldorado. The miraculous salvation of Dostoiewsky. The interoceanic telegraph. The flight of Tolstoi. The feat of the South Pole. The return of Lenin.
