This is a short letter compared to other letters found in the New Testament. In the book of "2 Peter", Simon Peter wants readers to know that Christians must live a life that pleases God. He admonishes them to be careful of false prophets and teachers that try to mislead people from following Christ. The writer warns them to practice self-control and patience. The Book of "1 Peter" has 3 chapters and include the following: Peter's greetings and prayer, he tells them how the Lord's followers should live, the message of the glory of Christ, the false prophets and teachers, and lastly, he reiterates once again the certainty of Christ's return, no matter what non-Christians say or think.
