The nouveaux réalistes term was coined in 1960 by French art critic Pierre Restany to describe a group of artists formed
in motion under this symbol and is also joining forces around a manifesto. Then it was extended to a group of American artists who exist in the current so called "neo - dada" and the first expressions of painting called "pop." This art is called the ''art of assemblage.
