Tristan and Isolde

Book Review   by:Nuno_Duriense     Original Author: Unknown

This abstract was translated from Tristão e Isolda

Wich literature gives us a more complete and pathetic example of tragical lovers, than Tristan and Isolde? Was there ever a strongest and perfect creation than these two human beings, totaly dedicated to each other, living their mutual love? Never a poet has been inspired by such a rich amount of themes. Never has human love been found more true and intense. This is the most famous chivalry literature, of wich ressonance has outcome the picture of the medieval times to project itself to our days, being an inspiration to Richard Wagner, in 1865, to an opera that translates all of the passion and eternal love of the theme.
