The Social Contract was published by the first time in April 1762, and as the author himself
confessed, was destined to be a part of a bigger work. It´s one of the rarest constructions of the humam spirit that doesn''t grow old as time goes by. It speaks about the organization of society and it''s content points to an ideal
arriving point of social living, in wich equalty and liberty are the main themes that submerge all the rest. Two centuries later since it''s appearance, no one shall deny the actuality of this masterpiece, neither as a source of inspiration of so much that has been done, nor as what is missing to be done.
