Higher Secondary Chemistry (paper:2) is written by Dr. Soroj Kanti Singha Hazari & Haradhon Nag.This Book, being published first in 1999, has 13 editions which proves its popularity and vitality in the curriculum of Bangladesh. It discusses different aspects of organic chemistry in such a way that is easy for the readers to understand and memorize. The book mainly focuses on the functional groups in the following order:
- Alkanes, alkenes & alkynes,
- Halogen derivatives,
- alcohol & ether,
- Aldehyde & ketone,
- Fatty acid & derivatives,
- Ammines,
- Bio-molecules.
This serial of content is highly effective in learning organic chemistry, which is much different from other writers. All the reactions are written here with full conditions which makes it easy to read & the reader need not to search the text. You may find the chapters long and sometimes boring like Hydrocarbons(p:226-300), but believe me, this topic is not so interesting in reality and Hazari's book is the easiest. About the bio molecules, I can say that its a bit short. You may have the thirst for knowing more. But in this level it is the biggest. If you want to quench your thirst then you can search through some higher level books.
You may feel a bit tensed about what its price may be. But don't worry. Its just TK250 without commission. And last, but not least, with every edition latest updates of chemistry is included in its content.
