Sadko, the rider of Baïkal was born from a swirl of light and wind, although, physically, he resembles all the men.
But we can imagine that he has exceptional forces and faculties, because of his luminous and wind origins. One can imagine hi; galloping on his step's tarpan raised by the shoes of his horse like any rider on his mounting, sometimes like basing oneself with the fogs rising of water of the valleys and the oceans. But is especially his image emerging from the smog which haunts the dreams of that which wanted to accompany him in his ride in fluctuating spaces and times in which the places and times merge. He is not other than his creator Bernard Clavel.
Here is thus our hero and his creator, letting themselves involve to banks of the Rhone , to allow this small barbarian to discover his barbar ancestors and to reveal what never a being of his race would have known to imagine world of the Barbarie in its extraordinary dimensions. Their ride lasted of the days and the nights, under skies lit by the moons, decorated by stars scintillating, or dazzled by the extreme or lenient suns, or hiding the curious ones by covering thick clouds, to be pilot Gallic wars carried out by Jules Cesar.
But what is completely intriguing it is that in spite of the skill of the creative author of Sadko, he could not be detached from him while launching him in full fray, because one can never outdistance a rider of his hardening. Quite to the contrary, it is the creator of Sadko himself which is pulled by his creature, a such wisp of straw floating in its wake there or the stars dance, scintillate or are merged with the fogs of the mounts and the valleys
