The Stargate Chronicles, Memoirs of a Psychic Spy by Joseph Mc Moneagle is a written documentation of the life of the author now known as the best operational remote viewer in the history of the U.S Army`s Special Project--Stargate. As the most tested and certified psychic in history, Joe tells the remarkable story of how he got there, sharing an intimate view of the many trials and successes of his personal life.
Born in the 1940s in Miami, Florida, he details his difficult childhood as the child of alcoholic parents and believes that many people who demonstrate a natural psychic ability overcome trauma from an early age.
Leaving home at eighteen to join the army, he is recruited by Army Intelligence and eventually is on active service in Vietnam as an emitter location and identification specialist. Here his natural psychic abilities saved his life on more than one occasion.
Whilst living and working in Germany, Joe has his first Near Death Experience, which leads to spontaneous Out of Body Experiences and mental telepathy and starts to look at reality in a totally different way.
Studying Buddhism and Shamanism whilst on active duty in Thailand he has a second near death experience and returns home to the United States and the disintegration of his first marriage.
The Army initiated a special project to test the possibities of using remote viewers for intelligence collection purposes and recruited Joe, to the previously classified Stargate program. He gave up his position as an adviser to the commanding general of the U.S Army Intelligence and Security Command to become remote viewer 001. A decision that would forever change the course of his life over the next twenty three years and lead to the destruction of his career, breakdown of his second marriage and lead to groundbraking work within nearly all of the major intelligence agencies of the government, as well as numerous appearances on all the major networks.
Much of the work Joseph Mc Moneagle did over the years he worked as a remote viewer remain classified but some details were released from the CIA and without revealing many specifics Joe chronicles his life as a remote viewer, including his scientific approach carefully studying remote viewing within research laboratories and his strong beliefs in using strict protocols in remote viewing. He is sceptical about the emergence of self-proclaimed experts teaching brands of remote viewing that cater to innocent people who are conned into paying large sums of money.
The phenomenon of remote viewing remains controversial and receives little official government support, funding having now shifted to the Air Forces Foreign Technology Division. The research and experiments have successfully demonstrated abilities but have not explained them.
