This is one of the most paradoxical facts of the latter part of the last century upto the present and perhaps beyond,for how long,one doesn't know.While Science and Technology are advancing,the world is getting polarised based on religion!Is it the making of politicians?I am forced to admit that it is so.
The emotional side of religion is exploited by some(politicians).In West Asia,the fight between Israel and other Muslim nations is based on religion.In Afghanistam,religious sentiments were stirred upto hysterical levels creating Jihadis,to fight the former USSR.After the collapse of the Soviet state,these Islamic Fundamentalists,began targetting the USA,citing her as the reason for all the troubles of Muslims the world over.After Afghanistan,these Islamic Fundamentalists began to take up the case and cause of their so called brethren in other parts of the world,using terrorism and violence as a way to achieve their goal/s.Many of their religion from various parts of the world have joined them,since.
Thus the effect of religion on politics is one of violence,terror,killings and damage to property.All in all,ordinary civilians are not sure of anything.
This is a very sad state of affairs indeed in the 21st century when the net rules!
