Since the demise of the renowned webzine, Plots With Guns, the internest has suffered the loss of truly fantastic web-based
noir publishing. In September, we at Thuglit.com (short for Thug Literature), will be attempting to renew the medium by printing some of the freshest and most powerful new stories in the medium.
As is, right now, the website is still the personal pages of Chief Editor Todd Robinson, and will be until the site converts at the end of August 2005. When the site changes to the 'zine format, his stories will still be available, but on an About The Editors link.
We are open to submissions and have already received some fantastic works by writers new to the medium and from the salty veterans. All content is completely free.
Their guidelines for submissions, are as follows (copied and pasted from the site)
• Please don't send me more than one story per given month. My editorial staff's time is volunteer and limited. If we get 2000 stories a month, we're fucked. Besides, I'm only giving you a T-shirt, for chrissakes.
• Limit your stories to 5000 words or less. See reasoning behind number 1
• This is a mystery and noir website. If you don't know what that means, then don't send me your damned story. PLEASE have violence, crime, murder, mayhem and chaos. Or a monkey.
• DO NOT SEND ATTACHMENTS!!!!!!! If I get one, it's deleted. Paste your story to the body of the e-mail.
• Contact info I need. Name, address and word count. The chosen will be notified by e-mail and on the website.
• Fan fiction will never be chosen AND openly mocked on the website. You have been warned
• Don't get your panties in a bunch if you don't get picked.
