The smile on the face of a couple announces the beginning of a new life like the song of the cock announcing the
new day. The couple Barake has just given rise to their first wire. The so much awaited son, the prone son and object of their pride. It seemed to me that I listened with my ears to hum one melody composed by the steps of many neighbors come to greet the couple. It was
beautiful
melody however sad accompanied with a beautiful voice: listen to me! Barake will diarra! Lion wire of lion, king wire of kings, the royalty is with you, it was the voice of a beautiful girl. “believe me one cannot say man without having a child, believe me one becomes woman only after having gave a son, balake veiled you become the Man, veiled you today become chief, worthy today the size is with you” continued the voice. A voice which did not leave anybody indifferent, one which made jump Barake of his armchair for execute his best steps of dance before putting the hand in the pocket to leave a pile of banknotes that he lets fly away on the heads of all. Thus commence
history
of an African family. A history of father or son? A history of experience less or pride? A history of destiny or society?
