Book Review   by:angelicbaby     Original Author: Iyanla Vanzant

This book Don't Give It Away by Iyanla Vanzant is an awsome book for those who have been abused, hurt, or just feel totally confused. The book was inspired by her life as a sixteen-year-old mother and high school drop out. She knows very well how hard it is for young girls to express their thoughts and fellings in a world that may seem so strange to them. The book is adressed  to young girls. This book teaches these young girls that there is nothing more important in this world to them than theirselves. It has a section where it lists several items needed for a girls survival kit. It also tells different techniques to make you relax and feel better when you are angry, sad, frustrated, etc. I really enjoyed this book. It also has several different things for you to write. Like it has the sentence.. It really makes me mad when.... and you  are supposed to finish the sentence. This book really helps you to get your feeling out and it also helps you to feel a hundred times better about your self. This book has really changed the way that I view myself and I know that it will do the same for you. It totally changed my way of thinking and broke the chain of depression that I had been in for almost three years. I would highly recommend this book to every teen girl in this world today. There are so many things around in this world that make us look down on ourselves and sometimes it's hard to think positive. This book just brings everything back into the right prospective. This book teaches inner strength, confidence and connection to something bigger when life may make a girl question herself or her experience. This book has helped several young women improve their self-esteem and self-image I pray that it will do the same for you.
