Our world is one of constant change. Time as past when the needs of students are not met by the books published by various authors. This arithmetic book is published to meet the needs of both arithmetic teachers and students. From a life rich in experience and a heart enlightened writer. This book has taken in view the commonest requests of the scholars of arithmetic. Sufficient examples, adequate grading and useful hints that help both the scholars and the teachers of arithmetic in achieving their goals are included The book contains a logically arranged chapters, adequate examples and useful hints. These are sequential such that doing the earlier examples in a set will not result into missing of important principles. Whilst harder examples are located at the end of each set. The first three chapters help in reviewing the basics of arithmetic. It begins with counting, addition, subtraction and division, of small figures. Chapter one explains the Origin of mathematics figures, the arithmetic figures are listed to give the beginners broad knowledge of what they are to meet in subsequent chapters. This is followed by few examples and do-it-yourself section that examine the students understanding on what they have learned.
Second chapter majorly deals with important addition and subtraction principles. Sufficient examples arranged in ascending order of technicality. Various do- it-yourself questions were included. Third chapter is furnished with adequate steps needed in solving division problems. Various examples are used to help the student understand the various steps highlighted initially in the chapter. This chapter is rounded off with relevant do-it-yourself questions. The remaining chapters give details in the use of the various mathematical tools discoursed in the preceding chapters.Worked examples is employed to facilitate easy understanding. Correct answers of various do-it-yourself questions are place at the end of the book, to aid easy reference I’m sure you’ll find it easy and interesting as you explore the world of arithmetic.
