One can understand easily by reading this book that Satyajith ray was a really experienced and far-travelled person.Storieshave
different locations-benaras,kolkatta,london and many other places.
there are three main charecters-
feluda,a private detective.jatayu,a jovvial writer .and tapesh ,feluda's cousin .
Each story is
written in such a manner that we feel that we are in that particular scene where its happening.
the 'mystery of the pink pearl' is one of the stories in the book .Its about how they try to save a rare pink pearl from falling into bad hands.
there are many other stories like Peril in paradise,Feluda in london,Shakuntala's necklace.
The best story i liked is'Dr.Munshi's diary'it is a very interesting story with many twists and turns.In the end you'll be really surprised to see the real culprit is someone ,of whom ,you didn't think of at all.
this book was actually written in bengali by Satyajith Ray and has been translated to english by Gopa Majumdar.
the book has simple vocabulary even kids can read it.Its worth a read.
