The acceptance of he himself and the ages of life

Book Review by: lisanee martins santos

Original Author: Romano, Guardini
This is a double book. In the first part, the acceptance of himself ,the author writes about self-knowledge and the self-acceptance,
looking for answering some basic questions of the existence. Why I am who I am? Why does it happen to me I what happens? Why I am as I am? When making this analysis, we affirm that our anxiety delights in the search of the interest and the prodigious and while we attach this desire, that it is really important to get daily character. In accordance to Guardini, that one who truly thinks, he should learn to go through the appearance of the evidence and dive in depth lost. On the second part, the ages of the life, it deals with the different phases of the life of human being, showing that man characterizes itself to a constant renovation and that, although its psychosomatic conditions, constantly, vary it always refers about the same man. However, each phase of life - child, young, adult, aged, senile - it presents on itself something new, it’s the only life previously lived going on forever. On this tension that the existence lives, I mean, the motivation to the life.
