It is the book that rattled the world. I am sure there is no one who
has not heard about this controversial bestseller.
Literary fiction was
taken so seriously here that in the nearest future we can expect some
new
religious groups following what is written in the book. However, I
am not going to analyse what is true and what is false here. In my
opinion the book itself is just worth reading. It is interesting and
well written. The idea of the main plot is successful and catchy.
In Louvre, probably the best known museum in the world, the curator is
murdered. He is dying slowly and has enough time to leave some signs
that can help to catch the criminal. He also wants to pass on some
graet
mystery of which he was the keeper. Because not everyone is
allowed to find out the mystery the curator leaves only coded
information and recommends to search for Robert Langdon, the specialist
of religious symbols. The police find Langdon and accuse him of the
crime. However, Langdon runs away, together with curator's
granddaughter, and tries to find out the mystery. Being chased by the
police and the real murderer they discover many well hidden secrets of
The Church. Langdon also reinterprets The New Testament and some famous
Leonardo's paintings such as: The Last Supper and Mona Lisa.
In this book, the author questions the authority of The Church and, in
fact, for this his work is renowned all over the world. Despite the
fact that some hypotheses included in The Da Vinci Code can be logically
argumented we stil should not consider them to be true.
