People are always advancing with fluctuation. Sometimes, people make a prosperous living just like bird singing and flowers
perfuming. Sometimes, people make a miserable life just like withered leaves falling.
The leading character in this essay and his family once made a very good living due to his outstanding
literary talent. But, his unreasonable aspiration almost led them to a despairing
situation. He bought a block of land by mortgaging their house. He imagined that it would bring them huge fortune by which he would start a new career as a businessman. In fact, he not only did not get any profit from the land but also bore heavy burden because of having to sustain the land and pay the loan to bank. So, his literary talent is replaced by the anxiety. As a result, the living level of he and his family was declined day by day. At last, the bank confiscated the land and withheld their house. He and his family had to roam the streets. Facing such difficulties, he said to himself: "I have reached the worst. It is impossible to worsen continually. On the contrary, the situation will be made better". So, he concentrated his energy on the job and gradually, he restored the self-confident and power.
He survived the despairing situation and turned the grey and dark page of his life. In front of him is the brightness.
