A famous eye doctor, Nathalie Kranz has a cold and cynical approach to
faith and the organisation of the church. One day in her office appears
a papal envoy, cardinal Fabiani. He tries to convince the eccentric to
take part in the canonization process of an
indian who died five centuries ago, Juan Diego. Nathalie starts an
investigation. She discovers herself. Juan holds hope in her to
get out of a mediate state. The eye doctor devotes to the case more and
more. She visits sacred places. She gets to know Juan's history, who
spoke to Holy Mary at the time of the conquistador journeys. On his
robe reflects her picture. Besides that not everyone wants to reveal
the truth.
