Brilliance of the Moon

Book Review by: lizhaigh

Original Author: Lian Hearn
The third and final book in the Tales of the Otori trilogy. It all happens in this last one Takeo fulfils his fate but not
without several twists ands set backs. Takeo and Kaede both face many hardships in this final volume as they are parted by events once more and the story jumps between the two of them I could not put the book down.
If anything the adventure in this final book is too fast paced . It’s not short the book is over 350 pages but for me it could have been much longer. I guess I’ll just have to use my imagination to work out hat happened to Kaede after the fire.
The Otori Trilogy broadly based on ancient Japan with its violent clans, treachery, mysticism and magic is a really good read. I’d like to think the distant passed did have some magic and mystery in it.
