Having lost my life and goals.
I stand awe-stricken and still.
Losing my hope each day
I am like a straw
dry and worn out in
life.
Unaltered lay my withered hopes
In the unending turmoil of this
world.
I know not what to do,
For destiny has paid me very badly.
Why did this happen to me, I ask;
Is sorrow and depression my only task?
I was once very keen with a lot of trust
That you Lord will make me best.
But now my faith in you has fainted
why did you fail me in my life?
Bruised and battered I lay
With none a kind word to say.
I lay in the dark forbidden like a Storm;
My world looks gloomy and still,
Not knowing where it will end.
Would you raise me down from the pit
Or would you leave me only to be ditched.
I feel very badly for all that has happened
for you have made me stoop to an ungodly nation.
