Undersea explorer Barry Clifford enthusiastically takes his
expedition with help from Discovery Channel in a search to find,
identify, and excavate the remains of Captain Kidd’s famous pirate ship. “Adventure Galley.” The book juxtapositions between Barry Clifford’s exciting
expedition landing on Isle Sainte-Marie in Madagascar and Captain Kidd’s
journey from London to New York before casting off for his renegade journey on the Indian Ocean on Sept 6. This non-fiction book reads like a novel reminiscent of Robert Louis Stevenson. Barry Clifford’s voice is friendly, as if the reader is sitting at a kitchen table with a good friend who is telling you what happened on his dream vacation. I enjoyed reading this book and didn’t want it to end. I highly recommend this book for those fascinated by pirates or not.
