Various scriptures containing tales of incest (Gen. 19:30-38); homosexuality (Gen19:4-5); rape (Gen 34:1-4); adultery (Gen 39:1-15); indecent exposure (Gen. 9:20-21); prostitution (Gen. 38:11-26) and bigamy (Gen. 29:20-28) are found in Genesis alone. The scriptures also contain stories of priestly misconduct (I Samuel 2:22-23); sodomy (Jude 1:6-7); bisexuality (2 Samuel 1:25-26); sexually transmitted diseases (Psalms 38:7) and royal polygamy (I Kings 11:1-3). Some critics have argued that the entire Song of Solomon is the oldest surviving example of erotic literature.The author offers the opinion that the Bible is an ancient book of fables, legends and moral precepts recorded by man.
