Little Women

Book Review by: Mississippi Princess

Original Author: Louisa May Alcott
Who can forget the classical little woman? This story was exstreamy tuching and educational. It shows the public how life
was back when the story took place. How easy it was for a family member to die and the tole that it took on the family. It shows the streangth that familys have and what family is all about. A truly touching book along with funny. This story is good for all ages and is enjoyable to read over and over again. It shows the young and old readers alike that if you have a dream then you should follow them. It also shows that even threw the toughest situation there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I beleave that Louisa May Alcott wanted to portray what it was like back then and how familys back then tended to be stronger then the tipical american family now. The classic senes are thoes where they are all sitting on a coutch waiting for fathers letters. Other senes show how stong the sisters bonds really are as they loose one of there beloved sisters. Then there is the deal with the marriages. Even thought the sisters get married they still stay friends. Showing that even when family has differences then they can still stay strong to eachother. I feel that familys now should follow some of the basics from little woman. Oposed to the belief that things and money will make you happy Little Woman shows how you can have so little and give up all of thoes worldly possessions and barley have enought and still be happy. This book also shows strong morals. The children obeyed their mother without questions and when they did do something wrong they all took the punishment for it. Each girl had her dreams and followed them.
