The Crucible

Book Review by: Malyndi Estrada

Original Author: Arthur Miller
In a time when opinion becomes fact. A time where the lines between loyal friends and decieving enemies is blurred into the
gray. A time were truth and justice are disposed as quickly as a young girl's voice. A man's faith, temptations, and name are tested beyond what is moral. Read about the realities of adultry, the connections between church and state, and the ability to sell one's name to the devil known as Judge. John Proctor, a fallen man with a conscience, is willing to sell his soul to save his wife. However, his inability to sell his name, and the name of his children, proves that faith, love, and integrity can endure the most painful of life's decsions. John's final choice will shock, and bring the most jaded reader to the realization that the majority beliefis not always the right path to seek. Isa man made through his moral obligations to the Church, or is he redeemed by his ability to accept his fall from grace?
