THE SALMON OF DOUBT (hitchhiking the galaxy for the last time) is actually a collection of files which left on the many Apple
computers of Adams, after his sudden tragic death of heart attack. As known, he passed away during the making of the movie "the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy", a five books trilogy (he only meant to write three) of Adams. Since the books
written there were made a few trials to make the movie but it didn't work out. Adams said that it is good because now the technology can make a better film than it could do 15 years ago.
The book "The salmon of doubt" contains short stories written by Adams, Interviews with him, funny things left on his
computers, some of his lectures (especially for the Hi-Tech industry) And the beginning of a third book at the series of "Dirk gentley's holistic detective agency".
The Salmon of doubt is edited by Adam's friend- Peter gouzardi, And Is (of course) divided to three parts: Life, The Universe And Everything. Very recommended to whoever loved the "Guide to the galaxy", most of the parts of the book never published before, written in the same sharp great humor of Adams, stories that leaves you with a taste for more, funny sharp and very smart stories. After reading the book (you won't leave it until the end, it's a promise!) you will understand better the beloved writer, the way he thinks, what motives him, his humor and his way of life: The man loves writing but he complains that he always "stuck", and on the other hand he is afraid that he will never write down all his ideas (as actually happened). It is told about his trips around the world, about his love to the animals in distinction risk (save the rhinoceros!) and to Apple computers (and of course Hi-Tec and Gadgets). There is a story that explains what he think of God (the puddle story) and a great true story that happened to Adams in Britain at 1976.
Few more words will be too much, and I don’t want to ruin all the fun, Therefore I will now recommend (I recommend!!) about the book to everyone who wants to enjoy a great book!!
This book is a wonderful one, to the memory of a great man, writer and maker, who will be missed in the world of humor and entertainment.
