Atlas Shrugged

Book Review   by:HemRaj Singh     Original Author: Ayn Rand
ª

Atlas shrugged is the story ofman, who realizes that over the years the world has turned into a breedingground for the parasites, who not only stick to the bodies of the producers andsuck on their resources, but also indulge in mudslinging against them. They are not agrateful lot but are those who would bite off the hand that feeds them. Theynot only live on the producers but also consider it their right to demand beingfed without fail, and would not hesitate to resort to force if their demandsare not met. The fellow -- John Galt -- turns around and announces that hewould stop motor of the world, and does so by making the producers realizetheir worth and the sordid scheme of the moochers. In the end, the worldrealizes its fallacy, and the heroes return back. End of the story.
