OCHO DIOSES Y UN GIGOLÓ

Book Review by: Ben Zahdon

Original Author: Juan Manuel Fernández Herrero
OCHO DIOSES Y UN GIGOLÓ(EIGHT GODS AND A GIGOLÓ)
Based on a real story, OCHO DIOSES Y UN GIGOLÓ (EIGHT GODS AND
A GIGOLÓ) is a short novel that narrates the glories and misfortunes of a professional lover and swindler of the Internet whose steps the Judicial Police of Barcelona is following at a prudential distance. Francesc Vilaseca Sinclair, alias "Fran", is the attractive gigoló and hacker of the network who, coming out from the absolute nothingness, weaves up stratagems of all kinds to little by little build up a world of his own, but always making others pay the bill. Yet, while this self-made man ingenuously believes that he is the absolute owner of his destinies, and that the whole universe smiles at him, eight powerful Greek gods, the Judicial Police of Barcelona, and a dangerously beautiful and clever human being, are all cutting the grass under Fran’s feet without him realising anything about it. Published only in Spanish, OCHO DIOSES Y UN GIGOLÓ (EIGHT GODS AND A GIGOLÓ) is a delicious, dazzling and thrilling novel highly recommended for incurable romantics and lovers of a good literature.
