If you love on the edge of your seat, nail biting, heart pounding suspense pick up a copy of this book.
From the beginning the story grabs you and refuses to let go.
The first page finds the heroine, Cassandra Parsin's alone in her rural home in Michigan. A blizzard
rages around her and she feel more alone and isolated than she ever has. It is getting late and her husband
hasn't called to check in. She realizes he will probably stay in town, given the weather but it isn't like him
not to call.
On top of this her power goes down and she finds her emergency candles and flashlights broken.
Someone has been in her house and she fears they are still there. She is startled by a knock at the door.
An old friend has braved the foul weatherto pay her a visit with the news that one of herchildren,
kidnapped years ago, has been found.
She travels back to Detroit where she and her friends embark on a dangerous crusade to
findherdaughterand bring her home. Everything begins to fall apart as they search.
People begin to disappearand someone is desperate enough to turn to murder to hide the truth.
Her husband is still missing and the FBI contacts her about foul play athis psychiatric practice.
With all of this on her mind the group is forced tohide from the psychopath who creeps closerevery
second.
This book is an excellent read for all mystery/suspense lovers. I challenge anyone to be able to put it
down once they begin reading. I found myself so connected with the characters that I hated for the book to
end.
