Many educational institutions are responding this challenge by escalating distance education programs. Distance education come into play when a teacher and student(s) are alienated by physical distance, and technology like ERP systems are often in concert with face-to-face communication just to viaduct the instructional gap. The fundamental tools for understanding the responsibility of technology in this competitive lead are the ERP systems. Since an Open and Distance Learning System is at the forefront of technology and are in the process to have some of the most hi-tech equipments it should be equipped with, wireless inside the residential campus and in the academic premises too. All places suppose to be interconnected through a highly secured virtual private network and the computers are connected to the Internet through broadband connections with laptops provided to each faculty. Even though technology plays a vital part in the delivery of distance education, academicians must remain focuses on instructional outcomes, not on the delivery of the technology. The solution to effectual distance education is focusing on the needs of the learners, the necessities of the content, and the constraints faced by the teacher, before selecting deliverance. The more teaching is prearranged; further there is a possibility of distance between a teacher and an educator.
