Harry Potter fans will be delighted with this fantasy novel. It begins with young Aidan, unhappy after his family has moved
to a new town. He discovers mysterious
scrolls in the basement of his grandfather's house--- scrolls which tell a tale of King Eliam, betrayed by a close advisor. The king is given a choice--- let the evil advisor, Paragor, kill a group of innocent people, or give up his own life. The king chooses to die to save his people.Aidan is very moved by the story, but his father thinks the story silly. Only Aidan's grandfather understands. Aidan then finds a door which leads to Alleble, the world of the scrolls. In Alleble, Aidan meets the ghostly-pale Glimpses, the people of the King. He is chosen to be trained as the twelfth of a group of 12
knights. Aidan and the other knights are sent on an important mission: to negotiate with a neighboring king, Ravelle, who has not yet chosen whether to follow the King Eliam or the evil Paragor. But the soldiers of Paragory are already there when the knights arrive. Their quest seems doomed. Worse, Aidan discovers a secret which links the fate of King Ravelle, to that of Aidan's father. If King Ravelle dies, so will Aidan's father, if King Ravelle choses evil, in the person of Paragor, Aidan's father will be damned. If the quest of the knights is to have any chance of success, if Aidan's father is to be saved, then Aidan must seek the aid of a most unusual ally....http://www.thedoorwithin.comhttp://w ww.amazon.com/exec/obidos/asin/1400306590ht tp://annakindt.blogspot.com/2007/01/door-within.html
