The Alchemist is a story told of a little boy, a shepherd who in order to earn money sets out on a
journey, a journey which
will take him to places, to meet people. Paulo coehelo has told us if not all ,almost all the important facts ,rather the simplest of them ,which are required to live in the right way, in a very simple way, using simple words and a simple story. The boy
starts his
journey seeking money, meets up a King, a person who employs him, he goes on to meet a girl, starts loving her ,has to do things which are considered a miracle. In midst of all this the writer keeps teaching us lessons, which were supposed to be inherent to us ,but unfortunately we have forgotten them. Such a simple book, with lessons which can weigh heavier than the experience of a person's entire life. Must read if you want to get in touch with the simpler side of you and life.
