Every one in the world, works for achieving
success. It may be any endeavour, job, profession, or even a dream. But every one does not get success. While some are highly successful, some get it partially & some are miserable failures. We all, would however, like to ensure that success is achieved. Only we ourselves, can do it. In seven Chapters of the book, the author discusses this important subject. It is based on the author's own experience, several real life stories & references from various old religious scriptures. Starting point is the earnest desire of a person, for achieving some thing noble. A compelling desire, which we will call passion, is powerful enough & helpful, in making necessary changes in our life, for achieving success. However desires leading to some thing harmful to any one, must be positively avoided, that too, in our own interest.
The author enunciates five
power Principles, four V's & one A,
viz. Vision, Values, Visualization, (
positive) Attitude & (Inner) Voice. According to the first principle, we have to make a Vision of our desire, of what exactly we want, & put it in some concrete shape, form, number or some such thing. Originality, Precision & Faith, are the three important characteristics of a Vision. As per the second one, we must exercise good Values for the ends & the means, which are both equally important. Also we must do our best. The third principle viz. Visualization, is creating a clear picture of our Vision in our mind, as if our desire has been achieved. The frequency with which we practice it, the longer we hold such a picture, & develop faith in it, it has been found that we can achieve it in real life. The fourth principle viz. Positive Attitude, helps us in keeping our doubts & fears away, & leads us to the path of success, with our mental certainty for success. Such an Attitude also helps us, in ourselves generating suitable ideas, & then destiny is also known to provide the required circumstances, helpful for achieving success. Negative thinking can be checked through, Ignoring, Reasoning, & Postponing. For the last principle viz. Inner Voice, we take advice,
counsel, & guidance for taking decisions etc., from some higher power within us, so that we don't make mistakes. We can hear our Inner Voice, in our position of mental solitude. This is the most vital thing in life. Through Meditation, Prayers, & Scriptural reading, we can attain the required state of mental quietness. These principles are considered
effective, in all areas of our life. True overall success in any field, should include our character, health & values etc.(& not necessarily material wealth only), & should give us pleasure & happiness in life. Real & higher success is in our mind. Our Attitude is every thing. We must never quit in our efforts. We must be passionate about our objectives, have trust in ourselves, do our best & success will no doubt be ours.
With every person being concerned about success in all the endeavours in life, the above five principles, are of great value for each one of us, for study, practice & implementation, for extraordinary & unusual achievements. Accordingly, this book is considered very useful for all human beings, irrespective of their country, religion, caste or gender. A must read book.
