The Stolen Bride

Book Review   by:SDobui     Original Authors: Diamond; Jacqueline

The romance novel is full of intrigue and mystery. It is a thriller, with a three-pronged theme of murder, back-stabbing, and romance inter-woven. Erin, the main character, a multi-million dollar joint-heiress to her father's company, has been hiding from her family-name and wealth after the death of her father, by working in a public service law firm in another city. She is struck in a hit-and-run and must overcome her post-traumatic stress and amnesia brought on by the accident, so that she can battle her insecurities and self-doubt. Erin realizes that as a result of her lack of attention to her family and the company, her mother and aunt have become embroiled in a dangerous mystery. She gets reaquainted with a lost love, Joseph, her high school sweetheart turned police detective, who is attempting to solve Erin's family mystery which turns out to be woven with the suspicious events that 11 years earlier caused his father to be wrongfully convicted of murder and put in jail where he was later killed. Through the nail-biting drama, Erin and Joseph regain their respect for each other, and romance is reignited. Joseph protects her at his home, the only place he thinks provides enough security, but there is no one to protect them from each other, and they have many romantic interludes. Together, and with the help of loyal friends in the community, they are able to solve part of the mystery, but not before more innocent people are killed, and their own safety is put at risk.
