REVEALATION

Book Review by: Ann Patterson

Original Author: JOHN, GOD, BIBLE (ANN PATTERSON)
REVELATION, the final book in the Bible as selected by the panel of the Church in the first or second century after the crucifixion,
included as a true inspired book of the Bible by Constanople then included in the King James Version of the Bible, is the most difficult Book in the Bible.
The initial chapters include 3 chapters (written in red in most Bibles) of words spoken by Jesus who is accepted as the Son of God, born as a human to Mary, teacher and Savior for all humanity to accept in their hearts by faith.
The most significant verse is “I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him and he with me.  He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with My Father on His Throne.  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Holy Spirit says to the churches.”  (Rev. Chapter 3: verses 20, 21 and 22)
The remainder of the Book references a vision of the unknown writer (presumed to be John, the favorite disciple of Jesus) that appears to forecast the end times when Jesus will return to the earth to gather those who accepted Him by faith.
The vision includes Jesus, angels, a book with 7 seals, 7 trumpets, the bottomless pit, 2 witnesses, Israel as a woman, Satan as The Red Dragon, the angel Michael, beasts from the sea and earth, reapers, a scene from Heaven, 6 bowls of Wrath, reference to Armageddon, the doom of Babylon the mother of harlots, Victory for the Lamb who is Jesus the Christ, the Coming of Christ, Satan bound and helpless, the Judgment of the wicked at the Throne of God, The New Heaven and The New Earth, the New Jerusalem, and the Final Message of Christ.
The most quoted verses in the second and final part of Revelation is:  Chapter 21 which begins, “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away…And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.  And …God Himself. shall wipe away every t ear from their eyes; there shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; old things have passed away. I am the Alpha and the Omega---the beginning and the end.  I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost…”
