Goldpanning Southwestern BC and Vancouver Island

Book Review by: Jennifer MacMillan

Original Author: Jim Lewis, Charles Hart
In the lower part of British Columbia travelers can get a closer look at our Gold Rush history at key areas along the Fraser
River including Yale. Yale is considered the area were gold fever first began in BC.
Following these clear maps and directions you should be able to find a bit of gold for yourself. All you need is a simple gold pan you can pick up for under 10$. There is a list of other gear included in this book for those keen for a nugget of their own.
Even if you are not into gold this book can lead you to some beautiful scenery such as the Similameen River near Princton. Don''t forget about Vancouver Island, there is gold to be found there as well as pristine scenery.
