Why is sky blue
Our earthis wrapped in a blanket of gas called atmosphere.
The atmosphere which is the air we breath is made up of
gases like oxygen,nitrogen,carbondioxide,water vapoour and
tinyspeeks of floating dust. When sun light withthis layer
the gases split up the white light into its different
colours of here different colours-
red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet the blue is
psread about themost and so appears tofill the sky. Where
there isno atmosphere,as on themoon, the sky appears to be
black. Though the surface of moon maybe brightly lit, there
is no get around and tobreak up the passing sunlight onto
colours. The black sky, with all stars and planets shining
brightly,is what the astronauts see when this craft leave
the earth’s layer of gas and move into vacuum of outer
space.
