A TRAIN ACCIDENT
I was traveling from Agra to Delhi from Taj express. I had
gone to Agra to visit the world
famous Taj Mahal. It was a
wonderful experience & I had taken dozen of photograph to
make that experience more permanent. I had also shopped a
lot & my bags were filled with leather shoes and bags.
There were also many models of Taj Mahal for my friends.
The train was speeding away and I was enjoying the passing
scene. There were many
passengers in my
compartment. Some
were dozing while others were chatting. There was cute
little baby who was constantly smiling at me. I decided to
give him a chocolate. It was in my bag, which was under the
seat. I bent down to take it out. As I bent down my eyes
suddenly fell on a black box, which was under the seat of a
passenger sitting opposite to me. A low ticklimg sound
seems to come from it. I was puzzled and promptly inquired
from my fellow passenger whether the box belongs to them.
Within 5 minutes they all declined.
I got up at once and pulled the chain. At the same moment I
informed all the passengers that there was a bomb in the
compartment and they all have to evacuate. A general chaos
spread and I tried to calm everyone. The passengers started
collecting their package. I knew that not a single moment
was to be lost, so I formally told the passengers that they
have to leave their package and jump out. Some other
passengers also sided with me and within a few minute the
compartment was empty.
I rang up the Anti Bomb Squad from the station and they
came at once and diffused the bomb. The passengers were
then aloud to board the train. They all thanked me and I
too was very glad to save so many lives.
When the train reached Delhi the passengers started getting
down thanking me once again. I was thus the last to leave
the train. So when I reached for my package under the seat
to my horror it was not there. I searched the whole
compartment but apparently someone taking advantage of the
situation has escaped with it.
I got down and feeling angry and very sorry at myself. I
went to the police station and logged a complain. However
to this day I have not got my bags and I think sadly about
the leather items and the models of Taj Mahal. What a
reward for discovering the bomb!
