Book Review   by:mej80     Original Author: John Eldredge

John Eldredge's book Wild at Heart focuses on a man's place in the world today. Eldredge takes men (and the women that love them) on a journey to become the man God intended them to be. Wild at Heart challenges men to take back their role as head of the family and church. Eldredge shows men how their childhood has affected them as grown men. He invites men to explore that portion of their life and embrace it. By embracing that time in their life, he probes men to use that knowledge to help them become stronger Christian men. Wild at Heart also helps women to understand the men in their life better. Women can use this book to explore where men come from and the "why" behind the things they do. Eldgredge shows men how to capture those dreams that they had as little boys. He encourages them to find that inner passion and follow it. He asks men to take a look at their life and study it. Is their life on the track God planned for it to be? Is their life a reflection of a strong Christian man? Eldredge asks men these questions and a lot more. He wants men to embrace their manhood and become vibrant leaders at home and in the church. Wild at Heart is an excellent book for any man age 19 to 99. This book challenges men and gives them insight in how to be all they can be. All the male popluation has to do is pick up the book and accept the challenge!
