"Poor Richard's Almanac" is an Almanac written by Benjamin Franklin. He published it under the pseudonym of "Richard Saunders" or "Poor Richard", 1732-1758. In between those years, in 1747, it was re-titled "Poor Richard Improved."

During the time of the American colonies, it became a bestseller. People during those times used it for information on weather forecast, puzzles, and other practical household hints. As well as calendars and astronomical data, it also contained many of Franklin's well-known maxims recommending homely wisdom, virtue, and frugality. Its fictional author, Richard, and his wife Bridget became popular literary characters.

Franklin sold the almanac in 1758, but it continued publication until 1796.
