According to the Oxford Dictionary, an Atlas is a book of maps, while a
map is a representation of the Earth’s surface or a part of it. The
book Pocket Atlas of the World is one such book which fits the above
description as it not only is a book of maps but also a representation
of Earth’s surface or a part of it.
The growing tension in the region these days because of the situation
in Afghanistan may evoke the need of an Atlas for you and that is why,
Geddes & Grosset have come up with the very best small-sized world
atlas.
This atlas is a lot different from those used as reference books in
schools and colleges because not only is it easy to carry, it is also
well compiled and well written. It also includes newly created physical
and political world maps and is very handy to use.
With a helpful index and up-to-date maps, this 170-page book is a must
buy for parents who think that their children are not aware of maps and
countries. I assure you that after going through the books, kids would
be arguing with their elders about countries and maps and they may
probably always be correct!
