When writing my abstracts I often get comments on the end of the abstract and then I spend the entire afternoon whirling
back in space spelling out to readers that its an abstract and all rules have to be obeyed .. someone wrote just now that the item I was writing about was not a book but then again should he wish to check the internet he will find its listed there under author and it is not totally wrong to say that his article is not based on a book .. I myself
have for years had excerpts hung round my neck and quotations dangle from my brain at 3 am in the morning and then somebody or other in Hollywood California who is perhaps a great Hollywood American director .. will tell me all about the books I read now used as
research materials in magazines or newsletters but taken from the original books that
I read in my long and interesting career both in banking computing and teaching and
of course the Diplomatic Service here in London UK. - are not books, for films/dvds/ etc.
Sir, let me take the time to say that the Heading may not be the name of a book but a lot of the stuff
contained therein is from a book .. all I can say in addition is that is the
books are on the website but unlike you I dont jump to hasty conclusions and I have checked my research and sure enough my insights were right in the first instance ... the information is by virtue of being used over and over again ... based on a book .. and therefore the conclusion is that it is and was a book .. not a film, at least not yet!
But I didnt write the book you commented on ... I wrote the abstract about the
book contained therein under the heading of "Portsmouth People!
